FARR WEST CITY COUNCIL MEMBER MID-TERM VACANCY PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a mid-term City Council Vacancy in Farr West, Utah. Any person interested in serving as a City Council Member and meeting the following eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to complete and submit an application. The appointed Council Member will serve through the vacated term ending December 31, 2023. Eligibility and residency requirements: 1. Candidates must be a United States citizen at the time of filing for candidacy. 2. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the appointment. 3. Candidates must be a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. 4. Candidate must be a registered voter of the municipality. Pursuant to Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to vote or hold elective office is restored as provided by statute.A Application: Please contact the City Recorder for an electronic application at lindsay@farrwestcity.com; or applications are available at the city office located at 1896 North 1800 West, during regular office hours. Application Deadline: Applications will be available starting on Monday, December 6, 2021 and must be submitted no later than 4 pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Applications will be accepted in person at the city office or by emailing the City Recorder. Applications may also be mailed to: Farr West City Attn: City Recorder 1896 N 1800 W Farr West, UT 84404 Meeting for interviews: The City Council will hold a regular council meeting on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 7:00 pm to interview and select the candidate. This meeting will be held at the Farr West City Offices.
