Amalga Planning and Zoning Meeting December 1, 2021 7:00 PM 6590 N 2400 W Amalga, Utah Visitors: Mayor, Dave Wood Members: Carl Sims, Chairman. Judy Down, April Hansen, Kelly Noble, Jason Munk, Commission Members. Howard Kunz, Town Board. Dave Lee, Secretary. Meeting called to order at 7:03 PM 1. Minutes of November 3, 2021, read by Jason Munk. Motion to approve-Kelly Noble Second-Jason Munk Motion Carried 2. Discussion on a new Amalga Town Business License Application. The new application has an additional item attached: 'Additional Conditions to which the business may be subjected' It was also decided to remove the part referring to coin machines. Motion to approve new Amalga Town Business License Application with 'Additional Conditions to which the business may be subjected' added, and to delete the paragraph referring to coin machines and to recommend it to the Town Board-Jason Munk Second-Kelly Noble Motion Carried 3. Discussion on the visit that Mayor Dave Wood, and Dave Lee had with Town Attorney, Seth Tait on subdivision issues. It was brought up that the current Amalga Code does not follow Utah Code and needs to be brought in line with Utah Code 10-9a-605. This requires that a municipality establishes a process to approve an administrative land use decision for a subdivision of 10 or fewer lots without a plat. The application needs to include several items from this section of the Utah Code. Amalga will have to amend the Town Code to include a process for filing an Amalga Town Business License Application and to have this process inserted into the Town Sub-Division Ordinance with an amendment. This will require a Public Hearing on the part of Planning and Zoning. Other items may be entered on the application if so desired. Mayor Wood will have the Town Attorney help us include the process in the ordinance. It was recommended that the Commission Members look at the State Code and come back to our next meeting with thoughts and ideas as to what we may want to add to the actual application that the Sub-Divider will have to fill out. No action taken on this item. Motion to Adjourn-Kelly Noble Second-April Hansen Meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM
