SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, December 7, 2021 a public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance relating to PLNPCM2021-00638 - Significant Water Consuming Land Uses Text Amendment. A request by Mayor Erin Mendenhall to amend the text of the zoning ordinance related to land uses that consume significant amounts of water. The proposal would implement a 300,000-gallon a day limit on the amount of water that commercial and industrial land uses can utilize. The limit affects multiple zones and multiple land uses citywide. The ordinance also amends and clarifies the definitions of related land use terms. This meeting will be held via electronic means, while potentially also providing for an in-person opportunity to attend or participate in the hearing at the City and County Building, located at 451 South State Street, Room 326, Salt Lake City, Utah.
