- NOTICE AND AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Garland City Council will hold its regular City Council meeting on the 25th day of May 2011 at the Garland City Civic Center. Such meeting shall begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. The Mayor reserves the right to modify the sequence of agenda items in order to facilitate special needs. The agenda shall be as follows: 1. Call to order – Mayor Bennett 2. Invocation 3. Pledge of Allegiance 4. Vote to approve agenda 5. Approval of Minutes: a. April 27, 2011 6. Requests for Future Agenda Items (Open Comments) 7. New Business a. Jan Varga – Bear River Valley Museum 8. Report of Officers, Boards & Committees a. Mayor Bennett i. Fire Chief Menlove ii. Police Chief Bourne b. Council Member Bowcutt – Library/Wheat & Beet Days i. Librarian c. Council Member Christensen – Park/Mosquito Abatement d. Council Member Comstock – Planning & Zoning/ Youth Council i. Planning and Zoning Commission – Marty Hiles ii. Youth Council Mayor/Advisor e. Council Member Coombs – Streets/Facilities f. Council Member Shaw – Water & Sewer 9.
