Description/Agenda: Notice of City Council Seat Vacancy Salem City Council has a vacancy in a council seat beginning October 11, 2021. Councilperson Howard Chuntz has resigned as a city councilmember to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. To fill his vacancy until January 2022, Salem City will be accepting applications. Applications are due Thursday October 28, by 5:30 p.m. Go to Salemcity.org for information on the application process. The City Council will be meeting on Wednesday November 3rd, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Salem City Council Chambers (30 West 100 South) during regular city council meeting to interview applicants and to fill the vacancy. Note, applicants must be present to be interviewed by the City Council.
