Description/Agenda: PUBLIC NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF NOVEMBER 2, 2021 MUNICIPAL ELECTION On September 29, 2021, the Independence Town Council passed Resolution 2021-03 as authorized by Utah Code § 20A-1-206(1) to cancel the municipal election that was to be held on November 2, 2021. The Resolution certified that Councilmembers Bill Duke and Rose Heaton, and Mayor Phil Sweat declared their candidacy for two open Town Council seats and the Town Mayor position, that they were unopposed, and were thereby declared elected to the two Town Council seats and the Town Mayor position that will be open in January 2022.
