The Mount Pleasant City Council will hold a regular meeting October 12, 2021 at 6:30p.m. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 115 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, UT. The agenda is as follows: 1. Welcome --Mayor 2. Opening Ceremony - By Invitation - Pledge of Allegiance - Opening Prayer 3. Roll Call - Recorder 4. Approval of Minutes - Mayor - September 14, 2021 Regular City Council Meeting held at 6:30 pm. - September 28, 2021 Public Hearing held at 6:00 pm. - September 28, 2021 Regular City Council Meeting held at 6:30 pm. 5. Approval of Adjustments - Mayor - Transaction Register dated 9-01-2021 to 9-30-2021 in the amount of $3,790.73. 6. Approval of Claims and Requisitions - Mayor - Claims Register dated 9-25-2021 to 10-06-2021 in the amount of $296,940.39 - Requisitions as needed - Out of State Travel Request-Power Department 7. Discussion/Action - Linda Christiansen - Discussion and possible action on Sanpete Kindness Matters. o Placing signs of positivity around the county 8. Discussion/Action - Track 89 Representative - Discussion and possible action regarding Proposal for an addition of an Engine on the Track 89 Resort. 9. Discussion/Action - Mayor - Discussion and possible action on the deer issue in the city and whether Archery is allowed in city limits or not. 10. Public Participation - Members of the public may address the City Council on matters not listed on the agenda. Those interested should sign up on the form just inside the council room door right before the meeting begins. Participation is limited to three minutes. The participant will be allowed to address the Council and may submit documents outlining their issue. The Council cannot take legal action on public comment at this time. At the conclusion of each comment, the Council will have time to respond to criticism made by those who have addressed them, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda. All City Council meetings are recorded. 11. Elected Officials Open & Public Meeting Act Training - Kevin Daniels - The Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) requires that members of a public body be 'provided with annual training on the requirements of [the Open and Public Meetings Act]' (Section 52-4-104). 12. Discussion/Action - Fire Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Fire Department. 13. Discussion/Action -- Public Works Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Public Works Department. 14. Discussion/Action -- Power Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Power Department. 15. Go Into Closed Session - City Council Vote - Council will go into a Closed Session pursuant to Utah Code annotated 52-4-205 to: o Discuss the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual. 16. Council Reports - Justin Atkinson - Kevin Stallings - Russell Keisel - Rondy Black - Sam Draper 17.
