AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SALARY RANGES FOR EMPLOYEES AND ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS WHEREAS Spanish Fork City ('City'), as a municipal corporation, is comprised of an elected city council, appointed officials and employees; WHEREAS the City maintains a list of positions and accompanying salary ranges, which are updated annually after a review of comparable positions in comparable local governments; WHEREAS, based on the results of the study, the City Council finds it beneficial to adopt an updated Salary Scale as shown in the attached Exhibit A; and WHEREAS the City Council has provided notice and held a public hearing regarding the salary ranges of elected officials, statutory officers, and other employees in accordance with Utah Code Ann. § 10-3-818; NOW THEREFORE, be it enacted and ordained by the Spanish Fork City Council as follows: Section 1. Adoptions of Salary Ranges. The Spanish Fork Salary Ranges for elected officials, statutory officers, and employees, as shown in the attached Exhibit A, is hereby adopted. Section 2. Repealer. The adoption of the Spanish Fork Salary Ranges for elected officials, statutory officers, and employees as provide herein is intended to replace and repeal any existing or prior salary ranges and positions index. Section 3. Not a Part of Municipal Code. This ordinance shall not become part of the Spanish Fork City Municipal Code. Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect 20 days after publication or 30 days after passage, whichever is sooner.
