PUBLIC NOTICE Invitation to Bid Milford City is accepting SEALED BIDS from general contractors for a Swimming Pool Resurfacing and Repair Project at the Milford City Pool located at 140 North 225 West, Milford Utah: Project: Swimming Pool Resurfacing and Repairs - Replaster the lap and kiddie pool o Undercut tile edges o Completely remove all existing plaster down to the gunite shell and properly dispose of the construction materials into a roll-off dumpster o Completely replaster lap and kiddie pool. Each batch should contain the following: (4) white cement (4) white sand (4) white quartz o Pool Size: Lap Pool-Approximately 3306 sq ft Kiddie Pool- Approximately 374 sq ft o Install new drain covers and wall fittings as needed o Repair loose drainage deck o Add quartz in the finished plaster o Replace the broken pool edging on the south side of the kiddie pool o Install new tile as needed around the upper cap of the pools. New tile needs to be installed along the 5' markings to show the deep end (same location as the rope). Swim lap tiles are not needed for swim lanes. The color of the tile shall be a dark contrasting color or substantially similar to existing tile color. All tile dimensions shall comply with state and federal requirements. o Reattach or replace ladders and hand rails o Work to be completed within 4 weeks, weather permitting o Provide a three-year warranty with applicable terms City Responsibility o Milford City shall drain all water from both pools o City will provide a roll-off dumpster and forklift, as needed Roll-off dumpster should not be any more than 1/3 full, due to the heavy material being disposed of. Bids must be honorable for 60 days. On-site walk through is available by contacting the Pool Manager, Melissa Rose, at 435.421.2051. Questions regarding the project may also be directed to her. If you are unable to contact the pool manager, please call the City Administrator, Makayla Bealer, at 435.387.2717.
