Description/Agenda

Sealed BIDS will be received for the construction of the Millcreek Substation to 3050 East Sewer Outfall Project, located at: from approximately the Millcreek Substation to 3050 East in St. George, Utah. BIDS must be submitted in a sealed envelope prior to 2:00 p.m., September 9, 2021 to: The City of St. George, Purchasing Department Attn: Cortney McRae, Purchasing Manager 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, 84770 Each sealed envelope containing a BID must be plainly marked on the outside #21-093 and Millcreek Substation to 3050 East Sewer Outfall Project. The BIDS shall be opened in an electronic meeting. Notice for the BID opening shall be sent to everyone on the Plan Holders List prior to the BID opening. There will be a mandatory pre-BID meeting and site visit which will originate on-site at the intersection of 170 North 3050 East on September 1st, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., MST. Social distancing will be followed at the meeting. The bidder shall visit the project site and become familiar with the existing site conditions. Technical questions regarding the bidding documents shall be directed to Alpha Engineering Company, Attn: Glen Carnahan, P.E. The BID includes the following: Construction of approximately 2,400 lineal feet of 36' diameter sewer pipe and appurtenances, directional boring, bypass pumping, and restoration of surface improvements. All BIDDERS who submit a BID are required to be on the Plan Holders List. Addenda will only be provided to the plan holders that are on the Plan Holders List. The 100% performance - labor and materials bond will be required on this project. Every BID shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the BID, naming the City of St. George as oblige, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George. As required by St. George City Code 1-10B-14 a signed certificate of legal work status for the BIDDER must accompany the BID. City of St. George reserves the right to reject any, or all BIDS, or to waive any formality or technicality in any BID, in the interest of the city.
