PUBLIC NOTICE
Petition for Annexation
A Petition for Annexation has been filed in the office of the Ferron City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of parcels of land belonging to We Rent Them, LLC, located at approximately 1100 N State Street, more specifically described as follows:
S.R. STORAGE ANNEXATION
FERRON CITY
EMERY COUNTY, UTAH
Beginning at a point which is N 00°24'30' W, 757.04 feet along the Quarter Section
Line from the Southeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 20
South, Range 7 East, SLB&M, said point being on the existing Ferron City Boundary;
thence N 00°24'30' W, 1298.03 feet along said Quarter Section Line to the Easterly
right-of-way line of Utah Highway 10; thence S 48°55'21' W, 61.53 feet along said
right-of-way line to the beginning of a circular curve to the left having a radius of
1780.47 and a central angle of 26°42'04'; thence Southwesterly 829.71 feet along
the arc of said curve and said right-of-way (chord bears S 35°34'21' W, 822.22 feet);
thence S 21°58'02' W, 593.13 feet along said right-of-way to the existing Ferron City
Boundary; thence S 87°04'03' E, 756.83 feet along said boundary to the point of
beginning.
Containing 13.50 acres, more or less.
Notice of certification was received by the Ferron City Council on August 26, 2021. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Ferron City Recorder.
Ferron City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Emery County Boundary Commission through the Emery County Commission Office at 75 East Main, Castle Dale, Utah 84513, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Ferron City Recorder at 20 East Main Street, Ferron, Utah 84523 by September 26, 2021. A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by property owners if it contains the signatures of the owners of private real property that: (1) is located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation.
I, the undersigned duly acting and appointed Recorder of Ferron City, certify that the foregoing notice was posted at City Hall, Ferron City's post office, ferroncity.org and on the Utah Public Notice Website.
