Fayette Town 90 South 100 East HC 13 Box 300564 Fayette Utah 84630 Phone 435-528-5882 E-mail: fayette5882@gmail.com FAYETTE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, JULY 1, 2021 LOCATED AT FAYETTE TOWN HALL AT 7PM FACILITATED BY MAYOR JED BARTHOLOMEW CALL TO ORDER: MEETING STARTED AT 7:08 PM ROLL CALL: Jed Bartholomew, Mayor, Brandon Jensen, Kelly Sue Mellor, Katie Lyman, John Bown was not present PRAYER : Kathi Williams 1) REVIEW MINUTES: Brandon Made the motion to accept the Minutes. Katie seconded the Motion. The Motion is Passed, Minutes are accepted. 2) REVIEW EXPENDITURES: Kelly Sue Made the Motion to accept the Expenditures. Brandon seconded the Motion. The Motion Passed. Expenditures are accepted. 3) NATHAN KING WATER REPORT: Nathan was not present, due to sickness. He did hand in his report. Jay is now going to check the Fire Hydrants and keep them in running order. 4) BUDGET REVIEW: The Council was made aware of the adjustments to the Budget. The Budget is now ready to be handed in to the State. 5) UCLT, WE RECEIVED A LETTER AND WE NEED TO THE DISCUSS LETTER: Everyone had read the letter and we aren't sure this money will help us or not. We could get Park equipment. Maybe a Restroom at the Cemetery. Ashgrove is a company that would be glad to help us with anything we need to do. So the Mayor will look into it more and we can address it next meeting. 6) HAS ANYONE BEEN CONTACTED ABOUT OUR HANDIMAN ISSUE? Jed was the only one to have been contacted. He has two people and he asked us if they were ok to have him help out in the Town. The two are: Keith Bartholomew and Don Kitchell. The Council approved of either one or the two of them. Jed will get with them. 7) CEMETERY: ROCKS? GRAVE ISSUES? We will pass on this until next month. 8) JULY 24TH CELEBRATION: Ammon and Jamie Sorensen are in charge this year. They have done an Awesome job at looking at all the area's to set up for the 24th. YW will do Games Ammon will do Movie night Rusty will do the 5K YM will do the Breakfast Kelly Sue will be in charge of the lunch Ammon and Jamie will be in charge of the Parade. We will have Races too 9) AIR CONDITIONER: We got the Air Conditioner fixed!! 10) PLANNING & ZONING COMMITTEE: We have a new person to take charge of Planning and Zoning. Dani Bown has asked to help us in this need. She will do a Great job!! 11) PICNIC TABLESAT THE PARK: Three of our wooden picnic tables were broken at the park, so Jed had to get them out and rearrange the metal tables. We may have to think about getting more tables. CITIZEN'S CONCERNS EMERGENCY SESSION (If needed) TOWN COUNCIL ITEMS: JED BARTHOLOMEW, MAYOR: Water, Weeds, Office, Cemetery Amanda Gasaway has done a fantastic job on the floors and keeping the building looking good. She can keep the job, if she wants it. How are the Elections going? Nobody has put in to do the Mayor position. BRANDON JENSEN: Flags, P&Z, Park JOHN BOWN: Animal Control, Fire Meeting's, Cemetery KELLY SUE MELLOR: Celebrations, Grants KATIE LYMAN: Website, Newsletter, Emergency Preparedness, Recorder ADJOURNMENT OF TOWN MEETING Kelly Sue made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Brandon seconded the Motion. Motion Passes.
