NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North Ogden City Council received an annexation petition from Charles and W. Robert Chamberlain to annex property into the corporate limits of North Ogden City. The property contains 6.47 acres in area and is located at 242 East Pleasant View Drive in North Ogden, Utah. The City Council received certification from Susan Nance, City Recorder on August 5, 2021. Copies of the proposed annexation are available from the City Recorder at 505 East 2600 North, North Ogden, Utah.
The legal description of the property petitioned for annexation is as follows:
BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE SOUTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF LOMOND VIEW DRIVE (A 66' PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY), SAID POINT BEING SOUTH 00°31'13' WEST ALONG THE SECTION LINE 886.72 FEET AND WEST 2130.91 FEET FROM THE EAST QUARTER CORNER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 7 NORTH, RANGE 1 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN; AND RUNNING THENCE SOUTH 56°14'47' EAST (RECORD = SOUTH 57°15'00' EAST) ALONG SAID SOUTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE 454.77 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 07°20'29' EAST ALONG AN EXISTING FENCE LINE 445.14 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 81°18'58' EAST ALONG AN EXISTING FENCE LINE 42.63 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 09°34'51' WEST ALONG AN EXISTING FENCE LINE 193.58 FEET TO THE NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PLEASANT VIEW DRIVE; THENCE ALONG SAID NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE THE FOLLOWING TWO COURSES: NORTHWESTERLY 454.17 FEET ALONG THE ARC OF A 858.45 FOOT RADIUS CURVE TO THE LEFT THROUGH A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 30°18'45' (WHICH LONG CHORD BEARS NORTH 73°15'44' WEST 448.89 FEET); THENCE NORTH 82°26'45' WEST 21.66 FEET; THENCE NORTH 00°29'08' EAST ALONG AN EXISTING FENCE LINE 759.39 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
Contains 281,924.79 SQ/FT or 6.47 ACRES.
The City Council will receive written protests to this annexation from the legislative or governing bodies of the affected entities until September 13, 2021, at 5pm. Only written protests by legal protesters will be considered. A written protest to this annexation must be filed with the Weber County Board of County Commissioners, 2380 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401. A copy of said protest must also be provided to Susan Nance, City Recorder, North Ogden City, 505 East 2600 North, North Ogden, Utah 84414 by September 13, 2021. If written protests are received, the City Council will evaluate and determine the validity of the protest and if the protests are from legal protesters. Upon the completion of such an evaluation and determination, the City Council may or may not adopt an Ordinance annexing this property on September 14, 2021.
