On August 2, 2021 the Nephi City Council received a certification from the Nephi City Recorder concerning a petition requesting annexation of approximately 12.13 acres in the city. The proposed annexation area is located approximately 1 mile west of Main Street on the south side of Highway 132. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection at the office of the Nephi City Recorder located at 21 E 100 N, Nephi, UT Nephi City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless, within the time required in the ordinance, a written protest is filed with the Juab County Clerk at 160 N Main, Nephi, UT and on the same date a copy of the protest shall be mailed or delivered to the office of the Nephi City Recorder. Written protests must be received before September 1, 2021 to be considered. Any protest may be filed by the legislative body or governing board of an affected entity, or the owner of rural real property as defined in the Utah Code 17B-2a-1107.
