NEWTON TOWN COUNCIL AGENDA August 5, 2021 Notice is hereby given that the Newton Town Council will hold its regular council meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. on August 5, 2021, in the Town Council Chambers at Newton Town Hall located at 51 South Center, Newton, Utah. ESTIMATED time of consideration REGULAR MEETING AGENDA 7:00 p.m. 1. Call to Order/Roll Call - Mayor Rhodes 2. Opening Ceremony - Kent Fabricius 3. Approval of July 2021 Minutes 7:05 p.m. 4. Youth Council Update 7:10 p.m. 5. Town Celebration Update 7:20 p.m. 6. Myron Benson request for clean-up of town right-of-ways and appearance of town. 7:35 p.m. 7. Request for variance from construction plans for development of Larsen Farms subdivision by Derek Chambers. Changes requested: water line size for lot 2, elimination of emergency access road and culvert for lot 2 and installation of driveway hammerhead turn-around, and elimination of fire hydrant. Propose a percentage held in escrow for completion of development. 8:00 p.m. 8. Fire Department contract with Smithfield Fire Department for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
