Syracuse City Arts Council Meeting Agenda August 4, 2021 8pm Meeting begins at 8pm in the Syracuse City Municipal Building's large conference room located at 1979 West 1900 South. 1. Opening Business - Call to Order - Adoption of August 4, 2021 Agenda - Review and Adoption July 7, 2021 Minutes - Approve Budget Expenditures since July 7, 2021 2. Public Comment-This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas. Please limit comments to three minutes. 3. Review applications and vote on Board Member position for the open 9-2021 to 8-2025 Board term. Candice Dallin resignation and open Board position. 4. Review 2020-2021 Budget and propose 2021-2022 Budget 5. 2021-2022 SCAC Season Orchestra: First Choice Dates are Oct 25, 2021; Christmas Concert Dec 13, 2021; February 28, 2022; and April 18, 2022 with a guest artist in the February or April Concert. Dates for Syracuse High school rental have been submitted for approval. Possibly have a Broadway themed Concert yearly and help Tim with logistics. Choir: By invitation to sing with the Jazz Band or Orchestra Jazz Band: Performances-Pre-Pumpkin Walk Entertainment 6-7pm is pending approval for one or more days of the event, Christmas Concert same night as Orchestra, Spring Performance TBD, Heritage Days. Jr. Theatre: Matilda Jr. Nov., Jr. Theatre Camp, Possible Day Camp's, Possible Audition Workshop, Seussical Jr., Newsies Jr., Lion King Jr., and Mary Poppins Jr. were suggested previously for the 2023 Fall/Winter Production. Theatre: Shrek, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Adams Family, Mary Poppins, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat were suggested previously for the 2022 Spring/Summer Production Gala: February 2022, Organizing committee update Library Co-Sponsored Events: Reader's Theatre Directing Workshop or Masterclass: Saturday- date to be determined Other: Public Input for Season: 6. Publicity: Syracuse Connection information & other publicity as needed. WORK SESSION 7. Committee Updates/Discussion 8. Process and Procedure Manual 9. Future Agenda Items 11.
