1- ERIC MASON- MASON MACHINERY
Mr. Mason presented the City Council two options for leasing a backhoe. One would have the backhoe leased at $1579.31 with an annual hourly usage of 250 hours. The second would be 200 hours of yearly usage for a $1023.53 payment. The total cost to own is $87,800.00 after the five year lease with the first option and $85,000.00 with the second option. The loan rate for the first option is 2.99% for 60 months while the rate for the second option is 3.99% for 60 months. The Council determined that they would consider the matter and make a decision at a later time.
2- FRED CHRISTENSEN- PAIUTE TRAIL OHV COMMITTEE-
Mr. Christensen made his annual visit to the Aurora City Council to discuss the Paiute Trail Committee and some options that Aurora City has regarding funding for projects. Mr. Christensen informed the Council that the Paiute Trail is growing and that it expands every year. The trail covers Sevier, Millard, Beaver and Wayne Counties and has added 539 miles of trail on the Parker Mountain. Mr. Christensen gave the Mayor more certificates for helmets that can be given to riders pulled over without a helmet. These certificates allow the rider to receive a free helmet at Jorgensen's in order to promote safety. Mr. Christensen also encouraged the city to apply for a FIG Grant which is given out by the Utah State Park OHV Committee. This grant would allow for some trail head development along with information boards and signage.

5- INACTIVE METER DISCUSSION-
The Aurora City Council determined that they basically had three options regarding the handling of bringing inactive meters into service. The first option would be to charge a nominal monthly fee for all inactive meters to help pay for upkeep and infrastructure of the culinary water system. The second option would be to disconnect any water meter service after 2 years of non-usage and then charge a reconnection fee for any meters that owners would want to bring back into active status. The third option was to leave things status quo as the City is currently doing and consider any connection fee as service paid in full and to bring to system into operating status once it is requested by the owner of the property. No decision was made and the Mayor directed that this issue be placed on the next City Council Agenda.
6- INSURANCE DISCUSSION FOR DAN RASMUSSEN-
Mr. Rasmussen had acquired further information regarding what it would cost for him to obtain insurance for the remaining time that he is employed by Aurora City. Aurora City needs to let PEHP know their intentions before June 1, 2021. Mr. Rasmussen stated that he felt like things were worked out enough for the city to pay him for the cost of his

insurance and not to renew the PEHP policy. Mayor Quarnberg directed Mr. Johnson to make the necessary arrangements for Mr. Rasmussen to obtain a Medicare Supplemental policy through PEHP where he will pay the cost and the City will pay for what would have been the insurance cost had the City elected to keep the policy.
7- BUDGET CONSIDERATIONS-
The City Council, in preparations for the budget hearing coming up in June, discussed some future needs for the City. The Council discussed projects that needed to be completed and decided to come prepared to the next meeting with suggestions for funding the projects.
8- ADJOURNMENT-
