Notice to Contractors Sealed bids will be received by Town of Manila, 145 East Highway 43, PO Box 189, Manila Utah 84046 until 5:00 pm, July 8th, 2021 and will be opened for the Manila Senior Center Improvements 2020 Project - INSIDE WORK. Bid will be addressed to David Coombs, Town Mayor at the above address. The project consists of 968 square feet of carpeting, 912 square feet of vinyl flooring, 1,880 square feet of ceiling refurbishing, 8 window replacements, 2 door replacements, 28 light replacements and blown in insulation at the Manila Senior Center in the Town of Manila. Bid Documents and Project Plans are on file and may be examined at the following locations: Town of Manila, 145 East Highway 43, Manila Utah. CIVCO Engineering, Inc., 1256 West 400 South, Suite 1, Vernal, Utah, Phone (435)789-5448. Bid Documents and Plans may be obtained only from CIVCO Engineering, Inc. at the above location upon application and payment of $50.00, no part of which will be refunded. An electronic pdf set of the bid documents and plans may also be obtained at no cost by contacting CIVCO Engineering, Inc. This project is funded in whole or in part by a grant through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The contractor will be required to comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws, including the payment of the most current Davis-Bacon wages and compliance with Section 3 to provide employment opportunities to lower income persons and small businesses. Local, minority and woman owned business owners are encouraged to bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be selected. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided by the Board; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Town of Manila as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and finish the contract bonds as required.
