The Central Utah Water Conservancy District (CUWCD) is notifying the public of the Temporary Use of Available ULS Water in South Utah County Project (Project) and their intent to enter into an agreement for the Project. The Project consists of up to 4,290 acre-feet (AF) of Utah Lake Drainage Basin Water Delivery System (ULS) municipal and industrial water for use by existing ULS contract holders in south Utah County. Due to ongoing drought conditions, existing ULS contract holders have requested immediate delivery of a portion of their ULS water. The Project water would be delivered through existing, non-Project mechanisms which are currently being used to convey temporary ULS water for agricultural uses in south Utah County. Agreements are needed for the Project and would be entered into with water users on an annual basis. The areas scheduled for use of the Project water anticipate receiving a permanent federal Block Notices upon completion of ULS delivery facilities in south Utah County. A public information meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, beginning at 4:00 PM at CUWCD Orem office located at 1426 E 750 N. The draft agreement will be available for review at this meeting. A copy of the environmental clearance and draft agreement for the Project are found on CUWCD's website at https://cuwcd.com/resources.html.
