- The following individuals filed a 'Declaration of Candidacy' with Smithfield City to serve a four (4) year term as mayor: Jeffrey H. Barnes and Kris Monson. One (1) individual will be elected. The following individuals filed a 'Declaration of Candidacy' with Smithfield City to serve a four (4) year term as a council member: Jamie Anderson, Bart Caley, Wade Campbell, Sue Hyer and Andrew Lillywhite. Two (2) individuals will be elected. The primary election will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
