PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Layton, Utah, will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in the City Council Chambers, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah, at 7:00 PM.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND INVOCATION
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: PLANNING COMMISSION WORK AND REGULAR MEETING - May 25, 2021.
PUBLIC REVIEW - (Administrative)
1. 1703 N East Cherry Lane ADU - CONDITIONAL USE
The applicant, Brittany Long is proposing to construct an attached accessory residential dwelling unit (ADU) above a proposed 3-car garage. The property is located at approximately 1703 N East Cherry Lane.
2. CR Lighting & Electric, Inc. - PRELIMINARY PLAT
The applicant, Chris Rydman, is requesting preliminary plat approval for the CR Lighting Subdivision. The purpose for the plat is for right-of-way dedication along the property frontage in support of planned business expansion. The property is located at approximately 360 N King Street.
PUBLIC HEARING - (Legislative)
3. Public Hearing Notice Amendment - TEXT AMENDMENT
The City proposes an update to Title 19, 'Zoning', Chapter 19.17, 'Ordinance And Map Amendments' for consistency with Utah State Code which was amended in the 2020 legislative session to no longer require 10-day notice of a public hearing in a newspaper. The proposed amendment also includes a clarification that notice signs are to be posted on the subject property street frontage(s) 10 days prior to both the Planning Commission hearing and the City Council hearing, as required by State Code.
