- NOTICE TO EPHRAIM CITY RESIDENTS Five public hearings will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. during the City Council meeting in the City Council Chambers located at Ephraim City Hall, 5 South Main Street, Ephraim, Utah, to receive public comments on: Public Hearing #1 - Water Rate Increase by 4%; and Public Hearing #2 - Garbage Rate Increase by $.50 per month; and Public Hearing #3 - Transfer of Utility Funds to other funds for fiscal year ending June 30, 2022; and Public Hearing #4 - Budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2022; and Public Hearing #5 - Budget modification for fiscal year ending June 30, 2021. Utah State law requires the City provide annually a disclosure on funds transferred from the Utility Enterprise Funds to the General Fund and other Funds. Ephraim City has budgeted for the transfer of $141,236 from Utility Funds to other City Funds as indicated below. These funds are used each year to help cover the cost of City services like police, fire, parks and recreation, and other city functions. The transfer helps keep property taxes in Ephraim City low. The transfer amounts are as follows: Transfer from the Electric Fund to the General Fund $33,104 Transfer from the Electric Fund to the Water Fund 3,718 Transfer from the Electric Fund to the Sewer Fund 101,822 Transfer from the Sewer Fund to the General Fund 2,592 Total Transfer $141,236 In Accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) this facility is wheelchair accessible and handicap parking is available.
