PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that a petition for annexation has been filed with Nephi City. On May 20, 2021, the Nephi City Council received a certification form the City Recorder concerning the Canyon Mines Annexation petition requesting annexation of approximately 75.23 acres. The proposed annexation area is located at the mouth of the canyon east of the golf course on both sides of Hwy 132, Juab County. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection at the office of the Nephi City Recorder located at 21 E 100 N, Nephi, UT. Nephi City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless within the time required a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Juab County Clerk at 160 N Main, Nephi UT 84648 and on the same date a copy of the protest shall be mailed or delivered to the office of the Nephi City Recorder at 21 E. 100 N. Nephi, UT 84648. Written protests must be received before June 18, 2021 to be considered. Any protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body of the governing board of an affected entity, or the owner of rural real property as defined in the Utah Code Sec. 17B-2a-1107.
