CERTIFICATION OF ANNEXATION PETITION I, Jeffrey Nielson, the duly appointed and acting Recorder of Salem City in Utah County, State of Utah, do hereby certify that a Petition for Annexation and Map was filed with the City on April 27, 2021 which petition covers 916.68 acres consisting of property owned by Brigham Young University, Chris & Sally Nelson, Melvin N. & Shirley T. Bangerter, Zephyr Ranches LC, Smart Style Limousin Zephyr LLC, Smart's Farm Zephyr LLC, McKee Investments Zephyr LLC, Lyle J. Smart Family Partnership, Smart Style Limousin LLC, Smart's Farm LLC, McKee Investments LLC, Smart Rock LLC, McKee Rock LLC located at approximately 8800 South 400 East, Utah County. The Petition, BYU Farm-Salem Annexation, was accepted by the Salem City Council on May 5, 2021 for further consideration pursuant to §10-2-405 Utah Code Annotated. I hereby certify the Petition and state the referenced Petition for Annexation has been determined to meet the requirements of Utah Code Annotated §10-2-405. Salem City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless, with a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, Alice Black, 100 East Center Street, Provo, Utah 84606 and Salem City at 30 West 100 South, Salem, Utah 84653 on or before June 21, 2021. A complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of Salem City, 30 West 100 South, Salem, Utah 84653.
