ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PROJECT NAME: 500 West Water and Sewer Line PROJECT LOCATION: 500 W and Antelope Drive, Clearfield City. OWNER: Clearfield City 55 South State Street Clearfield City, Utah 84015 OWNERS CONTACT: Adam Favero, Public Works Director, 801-391-1376. ENGINEER: Braden Felix, Project Engineer, Clearfield City, 801-525-4401. BID SUBMITTAL: Electronic Bids (only). Bids will be received electronically at the office of the City Recorder, of Clearfield City, as submitted from the Bidder through https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah, until Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.; and then at said office, the electronic bids, will be publicly opened and read aloud. BID REGISTRATION: Prior to submitting a bid on this project, the Contractor MUST register at https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION/BID QUESTIONS: All questions in regards to the proposed project shall be directed to the Project Engineer: Braden Felix, P.E., at Clearfield City, through https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah No drawings, specifications, product substitution and/or interpretations will be made unless noted with 'Addendum'. DESCRIPTION OF BID WORK: The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and services required for construction: Mobilization; obtaining all bonds and insurance; preparing existing site for construction; finding and exposing existing utilities to be connected to; furnishing and installing new culinary water pipeline to include PRV vault, hydrants, connecting to existing system, and all other improvements as called out per plan; furnishing and installing new sanitary sewer pipeline to include manholes, connections to existing system, and all other improvements as called out per plan; and all appurtenant work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for this project. ESTIMATE: The Engineer's Estimate of Cost for the total project is $ 427,114.24 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Paper copies of the contract documents may be examined at the offices of the City Public Works. COPIES OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Copies of the Contract 'Bid' Documents and Drawings may be obtained online at https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah. PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting for this project will NOT BE HELD. The contractor is encouraged to visit the site. BID SECURITY: All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid price, drawn payable to the order of Owner noted herein. Bid bond security must be procured, scanned and submitted with the online bid documents via https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah at the time of the bid. Original bid bond documents must be submitted to the City Recorder within 24 hours of the bid opening in order for the bid to be valid. BID GUARANTEE: All Bids submitted shall be in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be guaranteed by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make award or refuse in the interest of the Owner. PROJECT CONTRACT TIME: All proposed work contained in the contract documents shall be completed by September 10, 2021. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages or project delay charges will be issued for work not completed on time per the contract documents.
