The Mount Pleasant City Council will hold a regular meeting May 8, 2021 at 6:30p.m. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 115 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, UT. The agenda is as follows: 1. Welcome --Mayor 2. Opening Ceremony - By Invitation - Pledge of Allegiance - Opening Prayer 3. Roll Call - Recorder 4. Approval of Minutes -- Mayor - March 2, 2020 Public Hearing held at 6:30 p.m. - April 13 Regular City Council Meeting held at 6:30 p.m. - April 20, 2021 Special Work Session held at 6:00 p.m. - April 27, 2021 Special Work Session held at 6:00 p.m. - April 27, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting held at 6:30 p.m. 5. Approval of Adjustments - Mayor - Transaction Register dated 4-01-2021 to 4-30-2021 in the amount of $(729.95). 6. Approval of Claims and Requisitions -- Mayor - Claims Register dated 4-10-2021 to 5-07-2021 in the amount of $421,939.14. 7. Swearing in of the new Youth City Council (YCC)-Recorder 8. Report-Library Board - Report on how things are going at the Mt Pleasant City Library. 9. Discussion/Action-George Anderson - Discussion/Action on Outside City Limits Water Meter 10. Discussion/Action-Greg Stewart - Fence 11. Public Participation - Members of the public may address the City Council on matters not listed on the agenda. Those interested should sign up on the form just inside the council room door right before the meeting begins. Participation is limited to three minutes. The participant will be allowed to address the Council and may submit documents outlining their issue. The Council cannot take legal action on public comment at this time. At the conclusion of each comment, the Council will have time to respond to criticism made by those who have addressed them, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda. All City Council meetings are recorded. 12. Discussion/Action on Resolutions--Mayor - Resolution 2021-03 A Resolution Adopting the Tentative Budget of Mt Pleasant City for the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year - Resolution 2021-04 A Resolution Adopting the Tentative 2021-2022 Budget for the Mt. Pleasant City Public Library - Resolution 2021-05 A Resolution of the Mayor and Council of the Mt Pleasant City Authorizing and Providing for the Incurrence of Indebtedness for the Purpose of Providing a Portion of the Cost of Acquiring, Constructing, Enlarging, Improving, and/or Extending its Culinary Water System Facility to Serve an Area Lawfully Within its Jurisdiction to Serve. - Resolution 2021-06 A Resolution Relating to the Establishment of an Intergovernmental Program Known as the Sanpete Major Crimes Task Force. 13. Discussion/Action-Mayor - Discussion Action on Drilling a Well and the Water Treatment Plant. 14. Discussion/Action - Fire Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Fire Department. 15. Discussion/Action -- Public Works Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Public Works Department. 16. Discussion/Action -- Power Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Power Department. 17. Council Reports - Justin Atkinson - Kevin Stallings - Russell Keisel - Rondy Black - Sam Draper 18. Mayor Report 19.
