ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PROJECT NAME: Train Watch Park PRV Improvement Project (#229) PROJECT LOCATION: Train Watch Park in Clearfield City (200 West 250 North). OWNER: Clearfield City 55 South State Street Clearfield City, Utah 84015 OWNERS CONTACT: Adam Favero, Public Works Director ENGINEER: CEC, Civil Engineering Consultants, PLLC., 5141 South 1500 West, Riverdale City, Utah 84405 BID SUBMITTAL: Electronic Bids (only). Bids will be received electronically at the office of the City Recorder, of Clearfield City, as submitted from the Bidder through https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah, until 2:00 PM., on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021; and then at said office, the electronic bids, will be publicly opened and read aloud. BID REGISTRATION: Prior to submitting a bid on this project, the Contractor MUST register at https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION/BID QUESTIONS: All questions in regards to the proposed project shall be directed to the Project Engineer: R. Todd Freeman, P.E., at CEC, Civil Engineering Consultants, PLLC., through https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah No drawings, specifications, product substitution and/or interpretations will be made unless noted with 'Addendum'. DESCRIPTION OF BID WORK: The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and services required for construction of the above project; consisting of the following items of work: mobilization; obtaining all bonds and insurance, removal of existing sod/landscaping, removal of existing water pipe lines; furnishing and installing one (1) 8-inch pressure reducing valve station with a 6-inch low-flow bypass line; constructing a concrete vault for the pressure reducing valve stations, furnishing and installing all pipe, fittings, gate valves, bends, connections and tees to complete each PRV station including conduits for power and communication; service pedestal; furnishing and installing all landscaping; and all appurtenant work in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer, CEC, Civil Engineering Consultants, PLLC. ESTIMATE: The Engineer's Estimate of Cost for the total project is $94,500.00. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Paper copies of the contract documents may be examined at the offices of the Engineer at 5141 South 1500 West, Riverdale, Utah, 84405. COPIES OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Copies of the Contract 'Bid' Documents and Drawings may be obtained online at https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah. Additional paper copies of the Contract Documents and Drawings may be obtained from the office of the Engineer for a non-refundable payment of $45.00 for each set. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents may also be obtained from the office of the Engineer. PRE-BID MEETING: A pre-bid meeting for this project will NOT BE HELD. The contractor is encouraged to visit the site. BID SECURITY: All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid price, drawn payable to the order of Owner noted herein. Bid bond security must be procured, scanned and submitted with the online bid documents via https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=StateOfUtah at the time of the bid. Original bid bond documents must be submitted to the City Recorder within 24 hours of the bid opening in order for the bid to be valid. BID GUARANTEE: All Bids submitted shall be in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be guaranteed by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make award or refuse in the interest of the Owner. PROJECT CONTRACT TIME: All proposed work contained in the contract documents shall be completed within 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages or project delay charges will be issued for work not completed on time per the contract documents.
