- LEGAL NOTICE CITY OR OREM 2021 MUNICIPAL ELECTION This notice is to inform residents of the City of Orem that there will be a Municipal Election this year for the following offices: 1 Mayoral position and 3 City Council Member positions 4-year terms, January 2022 - January 2026 Candidate filing period is June 1, 2021 through June 7, 2021. Declaration of Candidacy forms, Nomination Petitions or Designated Agent Declaration must be filed in person with the City Recorder at 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah, during the normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. In accordance with the City of Orem Code, at the time of filing their candidacy with the City Recorder individuals seeking to become a candidate for Mayor shall pay a $150 filing fee. Individuals seeking to become a candidate for Council shall pay a $75.00 filing fee. (Ord. 2019-0004) If more than two candidates file for each position, a Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
