Description/Agenda: 2021 NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION Mt. Pleasant City is seeking qualified citizens to run for the following positions: Mayor (4 year term) and two (2) City Council Members (4 year term each) Candidates must meet the qualifications of Section 10-3-301 and Section 20A-9-203 of Utah Code: - U.S. Citizen - Registered voter of Mt. Pleasant City - A Resident of the City for the 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election - Maintain a principal place of residence within the municipality, and within the district that the elected officer represents during the officer's term of office - Must not be convicted of a felony If interested, candidates must file a 'Declaration of Candidacy' form. Forms must be filed with the City Recorder. The filing period is from Tuesday, June 1, 2021 through Monday, June 7, 2021 between the hours of 8am -- 5pm.
