SYRACUSE CITY Syracuse City Disaster Prep Committee February 25, 2021 - 6:30 p.m. Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S. Notice is hereby given that the Syracuse City Disaster Prep Committee will participate in a meeting on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the large conference room of the Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S., Syracuse City, Davis County, Utah. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss/review the following items: Welcome Call to Order Prayer Pledge Action Item Update District Yr Mo Workshop Date Topic Article Due Syracuse West Dist 2021 Syracuse District 2021 Syracuse South 2021 Legacy District 2021 Bluff District 2021 Committee Business: 1. Wes Jenkins has received a new assignment that will take him away from his Syracuse DPC assignment. Hopefully, there will be someone called in his place. He has offered to send his alternate to the meeting in his place. Wes: please get the connection information to him so if needed he can connect to the Zoom meeting. 2. Discussion of the April 17th Disaster Exercise. Erin: We will need the Zoom Meeting ID to publish in the Syracuse Connection Magazine and distribute throughout the city on Facebook and other forums. - Discuss another option for a place on April 17th -- The Community Center has been reserved on Saturdays through June as the community Arts council has it reserved since last year when it was able to be used. - Thanks, Dan for the great advertising Blurbs - Report on the Door Prizes (10) progress - Did it get published in the City's Facebook page? - Have the District Leaders disseminated the information to their respective area leaders? At the conclusion of the Disaster Exercised, the 5 District Coordinators will check in on the same Zoom meeting with the city to discuss the results and to award the door prizes. Each coordinator will take two winners' names/phone numbers to congratulate them. The exercise will them be officially closed. - Discuss how to award the door prizes. o Come to the city to pick them up? 3. Lane: Volunteers that will help finish the filming of the RDAP video how can we help? 4. Terry Palmer report on J&J Zoom Presentation which is for March 13th at 10:00 am. We need to decide on the venue. 5. Discuss the next Zoom Presentation: topic and date. 6. Wes Jenkins/Syracuse South was assigned the Syracuse Connection article on Freeze Dried Foods. The Chairman talked with Ryan and the Syracuse Connection and the article topic was approved. 8. Bruce Hunt/Legacy District accepted the assignment to write the article on FRS/GMRS radio usage in an emergency for the May Syracuse Connection 9. Patrick Carroll/Bluff District has the assignment for the Syracuse Connection article for June. (Water) 10. Discuss topics/assignments for July/Aug/Sept 11.
