ENOCH CITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE NOTICE AND AGENDA January 11, 2021 at 6:30pm Attendance: Jake, Travis, Aaron, Cordelle, Alecia, West, Rob. Visitors: Brennan Knutson, Danny Stewart 1. CALL TO ORDER OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING a. Pledge of Allegiance b. Invocation c. Approval of Agenda - Aaron, Travis d. Approval of Minutes - Travis, Aaron e. Conflict of Interest Declaration for this Agenda 2. BUSINESS UPDATE & 2021 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES - Educate the public about water. And how things work. The biggest choke point for the next 15-50 years in our area. We trying to build confidence that we are moving in the right direction, even though we have a hard road ahead of us. (Paul Monroe - director of conservancy district.) - Positive communication - about the roundabout. 3. BUDGET DISCUSSION - Could spend our budget (which is $2k) on communication of Water and Roundabout. (Video and Promotion) - Danny shared more about SB95, and the incentive around the rural growth grant. 4. RECREATION FOLLOW-UP Staheli talked to city council last night - about building a skating rink in Enoch. They learned a lot of cost association with the rink in Cedar City. And how hard it is for a municipality to maintain. Looking at the property south of the baseball field. Looking out the county and recreation grant to help fund the structure. How do we support this? How does it benefit the community? We'll have to see, but we'd like to be involved where possible. 5. CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE REPORT 6. STAFF REPORT. How do we support this?
