Notice to Fill Midterm Vacancy in Municipal Office In accordance with Utah Code §20A-1-510, notice is hereby given that Marriott-Slaterville City will be accepting names for consideration from qualified registered voters in Marriott-Slaterville City who desire to be considered for appointment to fill a midterm vacancy on the City Council for a seat in the East District. The unexpired term of this midterm vacancy will expire on January 1, 2022. Qualifications for consideration are: be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of Marriott-Slaterville, reside in the East District, and have been a resident of Marriott-Slaterville for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months. Interested persons should inquire with the City Recorder at 801-627-1919 Ext. 202 during limited COVID-19 office hours (Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM), and not later than 3:00 PM on February 17, 2021. You may also email: office@mscityut.org. Qualified persons who have formally submitted their name should attend an interview for appointment by the City Council during the regular meeting on February 18, 2021, at 6:30 PM at Marriott-Slaterville City, 1570 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah 84404. NOTICE CANCELING THE MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE CITY 2015 ELECTION In accordance with UCA 20A-1-206, the Marriott-Slaterville City Council adopted a Resolution on September 17, 2015, cancelling the 2015 Marriott-Slaterville City Municipal Election based upon the number of candidates not exceeding the number of municipal offices elected, and no write-in candidates filed by the September 4, 2015, deadline. Questions can be directed to the City Recorder's at 801-627-1919 ext. 202. A copy of the Resolution is available for review at City Hall, located at 1570 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah.
