The Mount Pleasant City Council will hold a regular meeting January 12, 2021 at 6:30p.m. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 115 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, UT. The agenda is as follows: 1. Welcome --Mayor 2. Opening Ceremony - By Invitation - Pledge of Allegiance - Opening Prayer 3. Roll Call - Recorder 4. Approval of Minutes -- Mayor - December 8, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting held at 6:30 p.m. - December 22, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting held at 6:30 p.m. - December 22, 2020 Public Hearing held at 6:00 p.m. 5. Approval of Adjustments - Mayor - Transaction Register dated 12-01-2020 to 12-31-2020 in the amount of ($502.22). 6. Approval of Claims and Requisitions -- Mayor - Claims Register dated 12-19-2020 to 1-08-2021 in the amount of $541,234.18. 7. Discussion/Action - Julie Reese - Discussion/Action on Snow Cone Shack owned by Ms. Reese. The Snow Cone Shack is located on the City Right of Way. 8. Discussion/Action - Zach Leavitt/Mayor - Discussion on what Resolution 2020-11 entails. - Action: Resolution 2021-01 A Resolution of Mt. Pleasant City Adopting the 2020 Six County Region Pre-Disaster Hazard Mitigation Plan. 9. Discussion/Action - Shane Ward - Discussion/Action on the Mt. Pleasant City Power Department Strategic Plan and Goals 10. Public Participation - Members of the public may address the City Council on matters not listed on the agenda. Those interested should sign up on the form just inside the council room door right before the meeting begins. Participation is limited to three minutes. The participant will be allowed to address the Council and may submit documents outlining their issue. The Council cannot take legal action on public comment at this time. At the conclusion of each comment, the Council will have time to respond to criticism made by those who have addressed them, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be placed on a future agenda. All City Council meetings are recorded. 11. Discussion/Action - Fire Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Fire Department. 12. Discussion/Action -- Power Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Power Department. 13. Discussion/Action -- Public Works Department - Discussion and possible action on items pertaining to the Mt Pleasant City Public Works Department. 14. Closed Session - The Council may vote to discuss certain matters in Closed Session pursuant to Utah Code annotated 52-4-5 and will determine if any action should be taken from items discussed during the Closed Session at that time. 15. Council Reports - Justin Atkinson - Kevin Stallings - Russell Keisel - Rondy Black - Sam Draper 16. Mayor Report 17.
