- Racial Equity in Policing Commission Salt Lake City Utah Public Notice is hereby given that the 2021 Annual Meeting Schedule of the Racial Equity in Policing Commission of Salt Lake City, Utah, shall be as follows: The Racial Equity in Policing Commission conducts regular meetings on various Wednesdays every month unless otherwise deemed necessary. Meetings are typically held at 5:00 pm. Each monthly agenda will be posted in accordance with Utah Law on the State of Utah Public Notice Website https://www.utah.gov/pmn/index.html. Until further notice, regular meetings of the Racial Equity in Policing Commission are held virtually pursuant to the Salt Lake City Emergency Proclamations. A link to the virtual meeting as well as information on how to attend and leave comment is included on each meeting agenda. Conducting the Racial Equity in Policing Commission meeting at an anchor location presents a substantial risk to the health and safety of those who may be present at the anchor location. The World Health Organization, the President of the United States, the Governor of Utah, the Salt Lake County Health Department, Salt Lake County Mayor, and the Mayor of Salt Lake City have all recognized a global pandemic exists related to the new strain of the coronavirus, SARS- CoV-2. Due to the state of emergency caused by the global pandemic, conducting a meeting at an anchor location under the current state of public health emergency constitutes a substantial risk to the health and safety of those who may be present at the location. Meetings in addition to those specified herein shall be held or cancelled by the Racial Equity in Policing Commission Board as circumstances require. All regular commission meetings of the Racial Equity in Policing Commission are open to the public unless closed pursuant to Sections 52-4-204, 52-4-205, 52-4-206 and 78B-1-137, Utah Code Annotated. Notice of each regular Racial Equity in Policing Commission meeting is given at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting as required by State law. An agenda of each meeting is posted at: Salt Lake City website https://www.slc.gov/boards/repagenda/ and State of Utah Public Notice website https://www.utah.gov/pmn/index.html Notice: - Applicable when in-person meetings resume due to COVID-19 safety precautions: People with disabilities may make requests for reasonable accommodations at least three working days before a meeting by calling the 801-535-7644. Accommodations may include alternate formats, interpreters, and other auxiliary aids.
