PUBLIC NOTICE
TO FILL A MIDTERM VACANCY ON THE
COPPERTON METRO TOWNSHIP COUNCIL
SALT LAKE COUNTY, UTAH
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 20A-1-510 that the Copperton Metro Township ('Copperton') Council ('Council') is seeking applicants to fill a midterm vacancy on the Council for Council Seat D, the term for which will expire on December 31, 2021 ('Vacancy').
Per Utah Code Ann. § 10-3-301, qualified applicants must: (1) be a United States Citizen: (2) be a registered voter of Copperton; and (3) maintain their principal place of residence within Copperton, meaning that they have resided in Copperton for 12 consecutive months before the date of the appointment.
Persons interested in being considered for the Vacancy should contact Mayor Sean Clayton at seanclayton@coppertonutah.org or (801) 615-3900 to request an application form. Applications and resumes are due to Mayor Clayton via email no later than 5:00 pm on November 11, 2020.
The Council will consider applications for the Vacancy during its regular November meeting, which will be open to the public and held on November 18, 2020, at the Bingham Canyon Lions Club, located at 8725 W. Hillcrest Street in Copperton.
