CITY COUNCIL WORK MEETING MARCH 16, 2011 The City Council will hold a work meeting on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at the City Office, 10 North Main Street, Cedar City, Utah. Consider an ordinance changing the name of 200 South from Main Street west to 1150 West to Thunderbird Way and 200 South – Ben Johnson/Paul Bittmenn 2. Consider amending the Aquatic Center Concessionaire agreement – Jim Friedman/Jace Bunting Staff 3. Consider an agreement with Workforce Services to allow adult and youth paid internships, unpaid internships, and on-the-job training program – Natasha Hirschi 4. Consider proposals for Risk Management Plan for the Waste Water Treatment Plant – Darrell Olmsted/Rick Holman 5. Consider bids for lighting upgrades at the Heritage Center – David Nyman 6. Consider a resolution recinding the reclassification of the Heritage Center Director – Paul Bittmenn 7. Consider bids, notice of award and agreement for the BLM Expansion New Slurry Pond and Fixed Wing Apron project at the Airport – Russ Volk 8. Consider bids for the Quichapa Well #6 Pump House Re-build project – Jonathan Stathis 9. Consider bids for the 2400 N Pump relocation project – Chad Boshell 10. Consider bids for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Drying Bed Ramp replacement project – Chad Boshell 11. Consider transferring $1,050 from outfield mower fund to storage container fund – Wally Davis 12. Consider the Lake at the Hills boat ramp access and parking proposal – Kit Wareham 13. Request to fill a vacant Police Officer position – Chief Allinson 14. Review of City Facilities asphalt maintenance plan – Kit Wareham 15. Consider bids for Annual Blanket Contracts – Asphalt Installation, Street Materials Supply, Small Concrete projects, and Pavement Marking – Jeff Hunter/ Rick Holman 16. Review bids for the South Area Sewer Line replacement project – Kit Wareham 17. Review proposals and consider agreement to remove the existing chain link fence at the Fields at the Hills and the East Bench Trail – Kit Wareham 18. Consider an agreement with Zions Public Finance for financial advisory services – Jace Bunting 19. Consider an agreement with MBRC Solutions for audit of telecom services – Jace Bunting 20. Consider the proposed water acquisition from Kody Young and Les Childs, 269.656 acre feet – Kit Wareham Dated this 15th day of March, 2011.
