CITY OF BOUNTIFUL
JOINT NOTICE OF PROPOSED BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT
AND PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all interested persons that the City Council of the City of Bountiful ('City') and the Board of Trustees of the South Davis Sewer District ('District') have adopted a joint resolution indicating the intent to adjust the boundary of the South Davis Sewer District to include each and every portion of the City that is not currently included within the District. The 'Affected Area' is located in Bountiful City, Davis County, State of Utah, and is more particularly described in Exhibit 'A,' attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
If the adjustment is made as proposed, the owners of property within the Affected Area will be subject to the payment of fees, charges and property taxes levied by the South Davis Sewer District for sewer services and/or for paying any bonds or other obligations of the South Davis Sewer District, which are subject to change over time.
The South Davis Sewer District Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing regarding this boundary adjustment on December 3, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. The public hearing will be held at the office of the South Davis Sewer District, located at 1800 West 1200 North, West Bountiful, Utah 84087.
The Bountiful City Council will hold a public hearing regarding this boundary adjustment on December 8, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. at the South Davis Metro Fire Station 81, 255 South 100 West, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
The District and the City may adjust the boundary of the South Davis Sewer District to include all of Bountiful City as described herein unless, at or before the public hearings, written protests to the boundary adjustment are filed with either or both the Board of Trustees of the District or the Bountiful City Council by: (A) the owners of private real property that: (1) is located within the Affected Area; (2) covers at least 50% of the total private land area within the Affected Area; and (3) is equal in assessed value to at least 50% of the assessed value of all private real property within the Affected Area; or (B) Registered voters residing within the Affected Area equal in number to at least 50% of the votes cast in the Affected Area for the office of Governor at the last regular general election before the filing of the protests.
