SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, October 6, 2020 and Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. public hearings will be held by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider adopting an ordinance relating to Petition No. PLNPCM2018-01025. A proposed ordinance is before the Council to amend the zoning map pertaining to parcels located at 402 East 900 South Street and 416 East 900 South Street to rezone those parcels from Residential/Business District (RB) and Neighborhood Commercial District (CN) to Community Business District (CB). Currently, these parcels fall within two different zoning districts and the parcel at 416 East Street is split zoned both RB and CN. The applicants would like to rezone to one zone for consistency. No development plans have been submitted at this time. Although the applicant has requested that the property be rezoned to CB, consideration may be given to rezoning the property to another zoning district with similar characteristics. The Council may consider adopting the ordinance on the same night of the second public hearing. This meeting will be electronic pursuant to the Chair's determination that conducting the meeting at a physical location may present a substantial risk to the health & safety (due to the earthquake damage to the City & County Building and the ongoing COVID19 pandemic) of those who would otherwise be present at an anchor location, and pursuant to SLC Emergency Proclamation.
