La Verkin City Council Meeting Agenda Wednesday, August 19, 2020, 6:00 p.m. Council Chambers, 111 S. Main, La Verkin, Utah A. Meeting Called to Order: Invocation by Invitation; Pledge of Allegiance B. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Agenda 3. Minutes: August 5, 2020 regular meeting 4. Review Checks and Invoices: $146,437.53 C. Citizen Comment & Request for Future Agenda Items: No action may be taken on a matter raised under this agenda item. This item is reserved for the citizens of La Verkin who have items not listed on this agenda. There is a time limit of 20 minutes with each individual taking no more than 3 minutes. D. Business: 1. Annual Training on Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) and Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) for members of the City's public bodies (including but not limited to the City Council, Planning Commission, and Board of Adjustment), as required by law. 2. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance No. 2020-02; an ordinance amending section 7-5A-1 of the La Verkin City Code and providing for the regulation of City controlled property (e.g., certain trails and trailheads, etc) 3. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance No. 2020-03; an ordinance amending section 8-2-12 of the La Verkin City Code, and providing for flood irrigation, in certain circumstances and for a limited time, in the area of the City located in the lower lands situated in the area surrounding the Virgin River, La Verkin Creek, and Ash Creek. E.
