NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, September 1, 2020 and Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. a public hearing will be held by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider a request to increase the building heights within a portion of the G-MU (Gateway Mixed Use) zoning district from a current maximum of 120 feet up to 190 feet across portions of two separate blocks located between 500 West and the railroad tracks (approximately 625 West) and 200 South and 400 South. The Council may consider adopting the ordinance on the same night of the second public hearing. Council Meetings are currently being held electronically pursuant to the Council Chair determination that conducting a City Council meeting at a physical location presents a substantial risk to the health and safety of those who may attend in person. Moreover, the City & County Building, which is the anchor location for Salt Lake City Council meetings is presently closed for regular occupation due to damages sustained during the March 2020 earthquakes. For these reasons, the Council Meeting will not have a physical location at the City & County Building and all attendees will connect remotely. If you are interested in participating in Public Hearings, please visit the website https://www.slc.gov/council/ to learn how you can share your comments during the meeting.
