Amalga Planning and Zoning Meeting August 5, 2020 7:00 PM Visitors: Rich Gladfelder, Jeff Elwood, Alex Houghton, Dave Wood, Mayor Members: Lance Gates, Chairman. Brian Larsen, Carl Sims, Jason Munk, Commission Members. Howard Kunz, Town Board. Michelle Gittins, Town Treasurer. Dave Lee, Secretary 1. Minutes of June 3, 2020, read by Brian Larsen Motion to Approve: Jason Munk Second: Carl Sims Motion Carried 2. Dave Lee representing Rusty Burnside for a Conditional Use Permit on the height of the new home he is building at 6320 N 2400 W. It was determined that his home would not exceed the height allowance, and no Conditional Use Permit was necessary. 3. Request by Rich Gladfelder for a Zoning Clearance to divide a parcel of ground at approximately 3120 W 5400 N with 150 ' of frontage and approximately 1.31 acres. Motion to approve a minor sub-divide-Brian Larsen Second-Jason Munk Motion Carried 4. Discussion with Jeff Elwood and Alex Houghton about a problem with control of dirt, and noise from Peterson Excavating, a next door neighbor. Elwood and Houghton were asked to provide written documentation of issues, and any violations of city ordinances that they feel are involved. There was a lengthy discussion about this situation. The Commission would like to hear from Peterson Excavation, and also possibly make an on-site review of the situation. The item will be tabled for now, while more research is conducted.
