- This is a formal notice that the Fountain Green City Council intends to fill the Mayor vacancy. Notice pursuant to Utah Code 20 A-1-510(b), this notice will be posted thru Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the Fountain Green City Hall, Fountain Green Post Office, Beck's Auto and the Utah Public Access website inviting all interested and qualified parties to apply for this vacancy. To qualify for this vacancy, you must file a Declaration of Candidacy which can be obtained from the City Recorder, during normal office hours at the City Hall. Candidates must meet the qualifications of Section 10-3-301 of the Utah Code: *U.S. Citizen *Registered voter of Fountain Green *Resident of the City for the past 365 days *Not being a convicted felon, unless the right to hold an elective office has been restored. This declaration of candidacy must be physically received by the City Recorder no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th. Be advised that whomever is selected will be appointed through December 31, 2021. If they wish to serve after that point, they will be required to file for the general election in the fall of 2021. Fountain Green City Council will meet on Thursday, August 27, 2020 to fill the vacancy. This meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Fountain Green City Hall, 260 N 100 W.
