La Verkin City Council Meeting Agenda Wednesday, July 15, 2020, 6:00 p.m. Council Chambers, 111 S. Main, La Verkin, Utah A. Meeting Called to Order: Invocation by Invitation; Pledge of Allegiance B. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Agenda 3. Minutes: June 17, 2020 regular meeting 4. Review Checks and Invoices: $302,244.75 C. Citizen Comment & Request for Future Agenda Items: No action may be taken on a matter raised under this agenda item. This item is reserved for the citizens of La Verkin who have items not listed on this agenda. There is a time limit of 20 minutes with each individual taking no more than 3 minutes. D. Business: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve a resolution approving: (a) the proposed 10-year Residential Waste Collection Agreement between the Washington County Special Service District No. 1 and Republic Services , and (b) the proposed Solid Waste Collection Agreement between Washington County Special Service District No. 1 and the City of La Verkin, pertaining to billing and collection for solid waste services and related matters. 2. Discussion on the possibility of allowing flood irrigating in Confluence Park. 3. Discussion and possible action to ratify the State of Utah Coronavirus Relief Fund Local Government Allocation Agreement. E. Mayor & Council Reports: Mayor Hirschi: Gubler: Public Safety, Recreation/City Festivals Wilson: Ash Creek Sewer District, Public Works, Water, La Verkin Hot Springs Wise: Planning Commission/Zoning, Beautification/Trails Committee, Economic Development/Tourism Justice: Washington County Solid Waste, Homeland Security/CERT, Confluence Park Hardy: Southwest Mosquito Abatement, Historical Preservation F. Closed Session: 1. Discuss pending or reasonable imminent litigation. G. Reconvene from Closed Session: 1. Possible action on subject matter from closed session. H.
