- AGENDA REMOTE WORK SESSION from 4:00-5:00 P.M. AND REMOTE ALTA TOWN COUNCIL MEETING from 5:00-7:00 pm WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2020 This meeting will be an electronic meeting pursuant to Governor's executive order suspending the enforcement of provisions of Utah Code ยงยง 52-4- 2-2 and 52-4- 207, and related state agency orders, rules and regulations, due to the infectious disease COVID-19 novel coronavirus. This Council Meeting will not have an anchor location and Council Members will connect remotely. Work Session: 1. COVID-19 update - Chris Cawley, Drs. Ken Libre & Carolyn Anctil 4:00-4:20 2. Tentative budget questions 4:20-4:40 3. Discussion regarding WFRC survey results 4:40-4:58 Regular Meeting: 1. Call the meeting to order 5:00 2. Citizen Input - can be submitted in writing to plever@townofalta.com before 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5 5:00-5:15 3. Alta Ski Area update - Mike Maughan 5:15-5:25 4. Approval of Consent Agenda: April 8, 2020 Minutes, Treasurer's Reports with highlights, and Staff Reports 5:25-5:30 5. Unified Fire Authority Report - Jay Torgersen 5:30-5:35 6. Questions regarding Departmental Reports 5:35-5:40 7. Discussion and possible action on 2020-R-8; a resolution extending 30 day period of the Emergency Proclamation #1 (COVID-19) 5:40-5:50 8. Discussion and possible action regarding 2020-R-9, a resolution regarding Central Wasatch Commission Interlocal Agreement change 5:50-6:00 9. Mayor's Report 6:00-6:15 10. Discussion and possible action on 2020-R-10 a resolution to raise resort community tax by .1% from 1.0% to 1.1% 6:15-6:35 11. Discussion and possible action to review, consider and adopt tentative FY 2020-21 budgets 6:35-6:55 12. New Business 6:45-6:55 13. Motion to adjourn 7:00 Notice Provisions: - Motions relating to any of the foregoing including final action may be taken at the meeting. - One or more members of the Town Council may attend by electronic means, including telephonically. Such members may fully participate in the proceedings as if physically present. The anchor location for purposes of the electronic meeting is the ALTA COMMUNITY CENTER, 10361 EAST HWY 210, ALTA, UTAH - Reasonable accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) for individuals with disabilities may be provided upon receipt of a request with three (3) working days' notice. For assistance please call the Alta Town Office at 801-363-5105 - By motion of the Alta Town Council, pursuant to Title 52, Chapter 4 of the Utah Code, the Town Council may vote to hold a closed meeting for any of the purposes identified.
