PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Deputy Sheriff Merit Commission of Wasatch County will hold a meeting at the Wasatch County Sheriffs Office, 1361 S. Highway 40, UT 84032 commencing at 7:30 AM, Monday, May 4, 2020. Wasatch County Deputy Sheriff Merit Commission DATE: Monday, May 4, 2020 Order of Agenda Items Subject to Change without Notice 1. Approve minutes from April 15, 2020. 2. Discussion and Approval of Draft Deputy Selection policy, particularly: a. 70% statutory pass requirement being based on each candidates' combined test scores, as opposed to individual portions of the selection process; and b. Possibility of candidate name removal from roster after verbal request for closed session discussion (i.e. the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual) and a public, on-the-record vote of the Commission. 3. Discussion of part-time (reserve) deputy selection process 4. Discussion of conflicts of interest policy 5. Discussion of promotion policy 6. Discussion and approval of posting notice for new round of testing. The Commission may enter closed session with respect to any of these items to the extent permitted by law.
