Workshop Topics: Introduced by Chad Wright Recreation Director 6:30-7pm
- Update on Parks and Trails: (Rodney Elwood)
- Update on Recreation events and programs, URPA Conference Report, the creation of a parks and recreation amenities guide for developers, and an update on Visionary Homes development: (Chad)
1. Call to Order and Roll Call (President or Acting President)
2. Approval of Minutes and Agenda (President or Acting President)
3. Public Comment Period1 (President or Acting President) facilitated by zoom administrator as needed
4. Review of Action Items (Stacy)
5. Discussion and consideration of Visionary Homes park development
6. Discussion and consideration regarding a unified committee focus and priority. In preparation for May 14th 2020 City Council Presentation. [All previous Committee member and staff presentation points considered.] (President or Acting President)
a. Recommendations to consider: Indoor multi-use recreation space, athletic field development, existing/future park recommendations (including but not limited to Morgan Farm, Discovery Park, Anhder Park, Heritage & Firefly Park), public art, trail connections, suggested event and or programing focus, others?
7. Discussion and consideration regarding content presenters and a presentation outline for the May 14th 2020 City Council Presentation (President or Acting President)
8. Discussion and Consideration of recommendations for City Council, Planning & Zoning regarding park feature recommendations for park/open space property offered to Nibley city by developers. (Chad & President or Acting President)
9. Next meeting will be May 27th

1 Public input is welcomed at all Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Meetings. 15 minutes have been allotted to receive verbal public comment. Verbal comments shall be limited to 3 minutes per person. A sign-up sheet is available at the entrance of the meeting or shall be available through chat (only during the public comment period) starting 15 minutes prior to each committee meeting and at the facilitators table for the duration of the public comment period. Commenters shall identify themselves by name and address on the comment form and or verbally for inclusion in the record. Comment will be taken in the order shown on the sign-up sheet or chat cue. Written comment will also be accepted and entered into the record for the meeting if received prior to the conclusion of the meeting. Comments determined by the presiding officer to be in violation of Committee meeting rules shall be ruled out of order.
