NOTICE AND AGENDA-AMENDED NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gunnison City Council will hold a Work Meeting along with its regularly scheduled Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center, Gunnison, UT 84634. The Work Meeting will begin at 6:00 pm with the Council Meeting scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. 6:00 pm Work Meeting 1) Discuss Proposed City Manager Position, Ben Reeves, Santaquin City Manager and President of the Utah City/County Management Association 7:00 pm Council Meeting 1) Invocation 2) Public Comment 3) Discuss and Determine Safety Measures and City Response to the COVID-19 Threat ~ Mayor Nay 4) Proposed Approval of Advertising Expenditure for Phone Book, GVHS SBO 5) Discuss G-Day Plans with Proposed Approval to Coordinate Efforts, GVHS SBO 6) Discuss Sale of City Main Street Property with Proposed Approval ~ Mayor Nay 7) Update on CDBG Project and Grant - Baseball/Softball Complex and Infield Rehab ~ Mayor Nay 8) Review and Discuss with Proposed Approval of Surveillance Policy for Gunnison City Hall ~ Mayor Nay 9) Discuss Future of the Gunnison City Justice Court ~ Mayor Nay 10) Review and Proposed Approval of Resolution 2020-1, Amending Water Connection Fees ~ Councilmember Andersen 11) Review and Discussion of Personnel Policy, Job Descriptions, Personnel Openings, Possible Changes in Assignments, and Posting of Possible New Positions such as a City Manager with Proposed Approval 12) Proposed Approval of City Council Meeting Minutes for Wednesday, March 4, 2020 13) Proposed Approval of Bills and Adjustments 14) City Business and Future Items 15) Adjourn NOTE: The agenda items may be discussed in any order. *In compliance with ADA, persons needing auxiliary communicative aids & accommodations for City-sponsored public meetings, services, programs, etc. should call City Offices at (435)528-7969 giving at least 24 hours notice. Consideration of adjourning into a Closed Session pursuant to the Provisions of Section 52-4-205(1) of the Open Meeting Law for the purpose of (a) discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; (c) strategy sessions to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation; and (d) strategy sessions to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property, including any form of a water right or water shares, if public discussion of the transaction would: (i) disclose the appraisal or estimated value of the property under consideration; or (ii) prevent the public body from completing the transaction on the best possible terms.
