Meeting Called to Order: Invocation by Invitation; Pledge of Allegiance B. Presentation: 1. Jana Anderson-Christmas Eve Program 2. Employee of the Year C. Appointments: 1. Reappoint and swearing-in of City Recorder and City Treasurer (2-year appointments) 2. Judge Myers to swear in the newly elected City Councilmembers D. Consent Agenda: (Items on the consent agenda may not require discussion. These items will be a single motion unless removed at the request of the Mayor or City Council.) 1. Declarations of conflict of interest 2. Approval of LVC section 1-6-4; Public Official Bond and/or Insurance Coverage 3. Meeting Minutes: December 4, 2019 regular meeting minutes E. Committee Reports: Fire District, Sewer District, Planning Commission, Water Board F. Citizen Comment & Request for Future Agenda Items: No action may be taken on a matter raised under this agenda item. This item is reserved for the citizens of La Verkin who have items not listed on this agenda. There is a time limit of 20 minutes with each individual taking no more than 3 minutes. G. Business: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution No. R-2020-01; a resolution approving the designation of a representative to serve on the Southwest Mosquito Abatement and Control District for calendar year 2020 and for such time thereafter until successors thereof have been designated and appointed. 2. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution No. R-2020-02; a resolution approving the designation of two representatives to serve on the Administrative Control Board of the Ash Creek Special Service District for calendar year 2020 and for such time thereafter until successors thereof have been designated and appointed. 3. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution No. R-2020-03; a resolution approving the designation of a representative to serve on the Board of the Hurricane Valley Fire District for calendar year 2020 and for such time thereafter until successors thereof have been designated and appointed. 4. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution No. R-2020-04; a resolution approving the designation of a representative to serve on the Administrative Control Board of the Washington County Special Service District No. 1 for calendar year 2020 and for such time thereafter until successors thereof have been designated and appointed. 5. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution No. R-2020-05; a resolution authorizing and approving a cooperative agreement with the Utah Department of Transportation for a reduced school speed zone at the intersection of SR-9 and Main Street.
