Minutes of Oak City Town Board Special Meeting held November 13, 2019 The meeting was held at the Oak City Town Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. In the Town Hall Conference Room. The purpose of the meeting was to canvass the November 5, 2019 Oak City Town Election. The following were in attendance: TOWN OFFICIALS Mayor Ken Christensen Council member Dave Steele Council member Warren Rogers Council member Monica Niles Town Clerk Karen K. Lovell OTHERS None Council member Craig Dutson was not in attendance. The Council canvassed the election results and found everything to be in order. The totals were: 4 Year Mayor Position: Shim Callister 214. 2 Four Year Council Positions: Dallin Christensen 177. Monica Niles 153. Craig Dutson 64. The Council discussed the wage for the election judges, Venice Finlinson, Celsie Anderson, and Robert Finlinson. Karen explained that the judges started at 6:45 a.m. and finished the count at 9:00 p.m. but she had also had them attend a training session the night before the election which lasted an hour. Therefore; she thought the juges should be paid for 15 hours. The Council agreed. It was decided to pay the judges $10.00 an hour. Dave moved, seconded by Monica, to adjourn. Roll Call Vote: Mayor Christensen-Aye. Dave-Aye. Monica-Aye. Warren-Aye.
