- NOTICE OF VACANCY Notice is hereby given that the Layton City Legislative Body will meet to interview, in an open and public meeting, potential candidates to fill a mid-term vacancy of Councilmember for the term expiring January 1, 2022, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at the Layton City Center, City Council Chambers, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah. The Legislative Body intends to appoint a replacement that same day in a Special City Council Session immediately following the interviews. Any person interested in being appointed to fill the vacancy shall submit an application, in person, no later than Monday, December 23, 2019 at 12:00 p.m., (noon), in the Office of the City Recorder. Applications are available at www.laytoncity.org under 'City Recorder' or in person at the Layton City Center. Applicants must also submit a resume and a 'Statement of Interest' consisting of not more than 500 words, indicating why they wish to be a Councilmember of Layton City. Applicants must be 1) a citizen of the United States, 2) registered to vote in the City of Layton, and 3) have resided in the City of Layton for 12 consecutive months before the date of the appointment. /s/Kimberly S.
